I’ve had a blast teaching gifted middle and high schoolers through Vanderbilt’s Program for Talented Youth.

  • Geospatial Ecology (introduction to complex socio-ecological systems, system modeling, multi-scalar/stakeholder problem solving and decision making)
  • Remote Sensing and Spatial Analysis (an introduction to the amazing things we can study with satellite imagery)
  • Spatial Smarts (human geography, cartography, GIS, using spatial data to solve complex problems)

I have completed Vanderbilt’s Certificate in College Teaching Program and given several guest lectures on campus, including:

  • Discounting and the Value of Time
  • Remote Sensing and GIS
  • Water Resources

Before arriving at Vanderbilt, I taught English in Toulouse, France, worked as an Economics tutor for visual- and hearing-impaired students, and helped manage an undergraduate summer research program at the University of Oxford.
